Can you integrate with my existing program?
A lot of companies that move to selling their products and services online already have a non web based program that they use to track and sell their product. If that is the case then we can definitely assess the potential to integrate with your existing program. There are basically three types on integration. One-way, two-way, and realtime. One-way integration is almost always possible because it basically consists of generating a report or a file from your existing program and uploading it to the site to update information like inventory levels or product information. Two-way integration depends on your existing program's ability import a file generated from the site and use it to update your information. Realtime integration is the best and hardest to achieve because it depends on the ability of your existing program to have an open channel of communication with the site at all times without requiring someone to upload or import files back and forth. Realtime integration means that when someone purchases a product on your site it automatically shows up in your existing program.
How much does a basic E-Commerce site cost?
All of our contract services are billed at $50 per hour. A basic E-Commerce site for a simple product can probably be done in roughly 8 to 10 hours which would be $400 to $500. Keep in mind that a simple product is something like a book or some other tangible product and that a basic site does not include any integration with other programs.
How much does it cost to take credit card payments?
If you have a merchant account and already use a gateway such as Authorize.net then there is no fee to take credit card payments on your website. If you have a merchant account but do not have a gateway then we can provide you with gateway services for as little as $5.00 per month. If you do not have a merchant account then we can take the payment for you and reimburse you after the money has cleared our account. See our Online Payments page for more information
